AUGUST 2019
River Pointe Commerce Park finalizes the purchase of 20 parcels spanning 725 acres of undeveloped land for $17 million from GenOn. Since acquiring the site, RPL has spent over $5 million on design, engineering, and impact analysis including environmental, economic, and traffic studies.

FALL 2019
The developer engages Newmark Knight Frank, a nationally acclaimed economic analysis firm, to conduct an economic impact study that concludes that some 4,000 jobs, with average wages of $54,000, will be created if industrial development on the site meets the needs of modern manufacturers.

DECEMBER 2019 – SEPTEMBER 2020
The Township invests 9 months of time, considers 10 iterations, and eventually approves text amendment that reduces the number of buildings in the industrial park and provides for buildings to accommodate modern manufacturing needs, including 100 feet building heights.

The developer begins discussions with the township on creating a Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) as an innovative new funding source to help provide additional services to the township.

The developer files a petition to develop a Neighborhood Improvement District (NID).
